Shalom crèche has been operating in Shalom house 12 Cliftonville Road since 1993. It is registered and approved by Social services and is a member of Early Years – the organisation for young people. It promotes high quality childcare and education.

CRECHE TEAM

Shalom Crèche’s aim is to provide children with a full range of enjoyable & educational activities in a happy and safe environment.

We provide activities which promote the six areas of learning:

• Early experiences in science and early year’s mathematics
• Knowledge and appreciation of environment
• Language development
• Personal, social & emotional development
• Creative & aesthetic development
• Physical development

Children also:

• Learn about themselves
• Learn about the world around them
• Learn about others
• Learn to do and think for themselves

The Crèche is staffed by two part time supervisors and two crèche assistances. Throughout the year students from local schools engage in work experience in the crèche under supervision.  All staff are fully qualified and have paediatric first aid training. All staff and students are vetted by local authorities.

The crèche opening hours are Monday – Friday in three hour sessions, Morning 9:00 – 12:30 and afternoon 1:00pm – 4:00pm. We cater for 8 children per session which means we have a total of 80 places per week. A child may have from 1 session up 5 sessions available with each session costing £12.00.
